Where it all started

My roots have always been creative — I trained as a visual designer and have spent more than twenty years making things beautiful and functional. But the pull toward real estate and interior design was always there, and it kept getting stronger.

So while building my design career, I was also quietly buying, renovating, and selling my own investment properties — nineteen of them, from full gut renovations to finish-focused flips. Kitchens, baths, flooring, tile, fixtures, paint: I managed every project from demolition through design, styling, and sale. Along the way I discovered that staging is my favorite part of the whole process — the moment a house becomes a home someone can picture themselves in.

I'm varied in style — I love contemporary as much as Spanish architecture and old stone farmhouses. The best designs borrow from unexpected places and land somewhere that appeals to almost everyone. That instinct drives every space I work on.

In 2024, I launched The Fig & Dane — my Nashville staging and design studio, where I pair classic staging craft with AI-powered virtual design tools to help listings show beautifully and sell faster. In 2025, I added my Tennessee real estate license, so staging advice and market strategy come from the same person.

I listen hard, work hands-on, and genuinely love the people side of this work — understanding what a client needs and then designing something that exceeds it.
